Scenarios and proposals

Branch a scenario
On the Scenarios tab, finance chooses a plan under Branch from, names the copy, and presses Branch scenario. Change its assumptions on the Plan tab, for example move a hire's start month to model slower hiring.
A scenario can replace a working plan's assumptions with Use as …, after a confirmation, or be deleted.
Compare
Under Compare, choose two plans in From and To. Easel draws both closing cash lines, then lists month by month:
| Column | What it shows |
|---|---|
| Profit (each plan) | Profit for the month in each plan, and the difference |
| Cash (each plan) | Closing cash for the month in each plan, and the difference |
Below the table, Changed assumptions names every driver, position or expense that differs, and Changed cells lists every amount that moved.
Proposals
A proposal is a copy of a working plan bound to that plan's exact revision. Anyone who plans can start one with Start a proposal, change it on the Plan tab and press Submit for approval. Finance compares it, then either presses Promote revision n, which applies that exact revision to the plan, or declines it with a reason. If the plan changed in the meantime, nothing is applied.
